How counselling can help
Support that starts with listening.
Sessions are shaped around the young person's needs, interests and pace. There is room for conversation, practical strategies, humour and quiet moments.
Together, we can explore ways of understanding emotions, navigating relationships and building confidence without expecting every young person to fit the same mould.
What we might explore
School and social pressures
Space to talk about friendships, attendance, expectations and changes at school.
Emotions and overwhelm
Exploring strong feelings, triggers and ways to respond with greater understanding.
Identity and confidence
Supporting self-understanding, self-esteem and a sense of belonging.
Common questions
Helpful Info
Can a parent or carer be involved?
Absolutely. Parents and carers can be involved where appropriate, while ensuring the young person's privacy and growing independence remain important.
What if talking feels difficult?
That's okay. Sessions can move gradually, and there's no expectation to share everything in the first appointment.
What if my child hasn't seen a counsellor before?
Not a problem. Our initial conversation explains how everything is handled, while keeping things as approachable as possible.
